Q. Does the candle get hot if left on for a long period of time?
A. No. The candle is lit using LED technology which is a non-heat generating form of light known in the trade as an LED candle.
Q. How long do the bulbs last?
A. LED lights are designed to last well over 100,000 hours.
Q. How long does the Votive battery version last?
A. 70+ hours on 2 x AA batteries (Heavy Duty) or up to 200 Hours using "Alkaline style Batteries.
Q. How long does the Tealight version last?
A. 40 hours for "Amber " LED Candles or up to 70 Hours for "Warm White" LED Candles the battery is a CR2032 Lithium Coin Cell "REMEMBER ALL SMARTCANDLES ARE SUPPLIED WITH BATTERIES"
Q. How long does the charge last on the rechargeable candle version, once the candles have been charged
A. The candles will run for 15 hours from an 8 hour charge.the benifit of "Rechargeable Candles" are that they can be recharged 500+ times, for commercial use in Hotels , Bars , Spa's etc this makes sense.
Q. How many times can you recharge each candle?
A. Current testing and use has shown that you can recharge each rechargeable candle over 500 times before noticing any diminished performance in the flicker. That equates out to over 10,000 hours of candle light.
Q. Is it possible to preserve or prolong performance in the flicker?
A. Yes you can preserve the performance in the flicker. Treat your candles as you would your mobile phone. That is, periodically allow your rechargeable candles to completely discharge and then recharge for 20 hours as initial charge.
Q. What is 10,500 lifespan hours in real terms?
A. If you were to use your Smart Candle for 6 hours per day, everyday, that equates to approximately 5 years of ambient candle light at a cost of approximately £2 per year.
Q. Are the Smart Candles waterproof?
A. No. There is not one electronic product that is recognized as being waterproof unless it has been categorically certified as being such.
